about

Nic Cassey is an eclectic and enigmatic singer songwriter from Sydney, Australia. His first official solo album titled ‘Where are you going I just collect some pellets’, is a means by which to escape – quirky, delicate and honest folk music.

Where are you going I just collected some pellets’ is the sum of almost 4 years of Nic’s life - experiences, thoughts, characters and exotic discoveries captured in a collection of 9 unique songs.

Most were written in a cottage with few amenities and no road access. Described by a piano tuner as ‘the weirdest place ever visited’, this tiny little paradise provided Nic with solitude and inspiration.

‘The name of the album came from an etching that was on the wall of the cottage. Maybe I like it because chickens were frequently discussed at the cottage; or maybe it’s the relationship between the chicken and the plane that does it?’ (Nic Cassey)

‘Where are you going I just collected some pellets’ shows influences from diverse styles and wants to give people a break from the world. It tears down all those boundaries we create in our minds. Life is a limitless energy, and so it is Nic Cassey’s music.
